Attention Greggs<\/a> fans: the high street chain has announced a new pastry will be coming to shelves next month \u2014 one that fans will recognise from seven years ago.<\/p>\n

Unveiling their autumn menu, the eatery revealed the return of what they are calling a ‘legendary item’ that fans have been ‘begging for.’<\/p>\n

Drum roll please.<\/p>\n

The Steak & Stilton Bake<\/strong> is returning!<\/p>\n

After being discontinued in 2019, the fast food chain has confirmed to Metro<\/strong> that this hearty pastry will be available to buy once more from Thursday, September 3.<\/p>\n

The bake, which contains diced beef in rich gravy, with blue Stilton cheese and grilled onions in a flaky puff pastry, will cost a very reasonable \u00a32.50 (though prices vary slightly on location).<\/p>\n

Alongside this, the chain will also introduce other seasonal items, including the fan favourite Pumpkin range.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Metro<\/strong>, the bakery said the new items will be around until the Christmas<\/a> menu launch, but that date of that is under wraps for now.<\/p>\n

What else is new at Greggs?<\/h2>\n

Alongside the Steak & Stilton Bake return is a whole list of bakes, drinks<\/a> and savoury snacks to enjoy in the latest menu shake-up.<\/p>\n

New to Greggs is the Buffalo Chicken Baguette<\/strong> (from \u00a34.10) – a buffalo-style chicken mayonnaise with mature cheddar cheese and red onion.<\/p>\n

Also new is the Buffalo Pizza Slice<\/strong> (from \u00a32.70), available in a two-, four- or six-slice box too (from \u00a35.75, from \u00a38.95, and from \u00a310.95 respectively). This focaccia-style pizza is topped with cheese, pizza sauce, buffalo-style chicken mayonnaise and red onion.<\/p>\n

The Chicken & Pepperoni Toastie<\/strong> (from \u00a33.80) is new this autumn, featuring chicken in a pizza-style sauce, in a sandwich.<\/p>\n

Finally, the last new arrival is the Bonfire Toffee Muffin<\/strong> (from \u00a31.65).<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t enough, the much-loved Pumpkin Spice <\/strong>drinks (from \u00a32.85 or from \u00a33.35 for iced) are making a comeback, with the Pumpkin Spice<\/strong> Latte <\/strong>now topped with salted caramel drizzle, alongside the returning Pumpkin Spice Doughnut<\/strong> (from \u00a31.50)<\/p>\n

What do customers think?<\/h2>\n

‘Steak and Stilton bake, you little treasure,’ wrote @hanabizzle on Instagram<\/a>, while @jamitetbh.eats said the Steak & Stilton Bake is ‘unreal.’<\/p>\n

‘I absolutely love the iced drinks,’ claimed @twinkle_rm8910, ‘but I’d love for there to be a little less ice!’<\/p>\n

‘What a menu! Can\u2019t wait to devour it all xo,’ exclaimed @niamhsscran. While @si.oz.si.oz remarked, ‘You\u2019ve smashed autumn already.’<\/p>\n

On Facebook, Matthew King said, ‘Yes finally!!,’ and Holly Jary-Mappin added, ‘now that’s a bit of me.’ <\/p>\n

‘Greggs have won my heart,’ added Rosana Bateman, while Laura Anne called it ‘beautiful,’ and Dave Rushforth stated it ‘Sounds delicious!’<\/p>\n

However, though many are looking forward to the menu, some were quick to point out the lack of new vegan and vegetarian options, as well as dairy-free milk for the drinks.<\/p>\n

‘The vegan sausage roll might be for 365 days a year, but we deserve a little autumnal treat too,’ wrote @the_vegan_cottage on Instagram.<\/p>\n
